How to Make Money on Facebook

When Facebook went public last week it was highly anticipated and the shares value were probably inflated.  I think it is hard to commercialize something that is a free social site.

I do not know many people that go to Facebook to shop but that is changing rapidly.
Many boutiques and individuals that have handmade products to share are turning to their Facebook friends for free advertising.

It is easy to do.  Create a group of your own and ask your friends to join.  Then start posting pictures of items you have to offer.  Encourage your friends to "like" the items.

There are new groups starting every day that are Buy/Sell Facebook pages.  The one in my area is Buy/Sell/Trade Tri City Oklahoma.

Ask permission to join the group and start posting your pictures!

I have sold almost everything I have posted within hours.

Don't forget to get the Facebook Logo for your business cards and flyer's.

How to Balance Work and Family

This blog will probably upset allot of moms who work outside the home.

How does a mom find balance between working outside the home and having a family?  Honestly she doesn't.  There will always have to be sacrifices.  I worked for years and missed my daughters school parties, dance classes and other activities to numerous to count.

When my daughter asked me to attend a function my response was always the same,  "Mommy has to work".  But did I really have to work?  No.  I thought I had to work because I thought I had to have a new car every year and everything else that the money I brought into the household paid for.

When I was trying to make the decision to quit working and stay at home I looked at the cost of commuting, clothes for the office, dry cleaning, grabbing lunch, and of course grabbing dinner because I was too tired to cook for my family at least twice a week.

I found that I was spending most of the money I made just to pay for the job that I had.  I downsized my new car to a used more economical car and just cut costs across the board.  The coupon craze is old hat to most stay at home moms.  We have learned for years how to save money and look at things more from an economical viewpoint instead of convenience.

Stay at home moms are pretty resourceful.  We tend to pool our resources from each other.  We as a group know which mom is talented in what area and we hire or barter services from each other.

Making Money from Home for Animal Lovers.

If you love everything about dogs and cats and want to adopt them all, then here is a money maker for you!

If you had a choice would you give your furry family member a homemade treat that is locally made with all natural ingredients?

Or a store bought snack?

I think if we all had a choice we would want to give our pets a fresh, healthy, nutritious snack.

Gourmet dog snacks is a growing market that is very easy to tap into with a little effort.

First start with your recipes and ideas for the snacks.  There are plenty of recipes online to start with. There are some breeds that have allergies to corn products so do your research!

Now, get people talking about your new pet treats!
Free samples are always a hit!

I have found that word of mouth is the best advertising!  Find out who has a pet.  make lists of your friends, your husbands co-workers, teachers at your child's school just about any group you can think of.

Make them each a gift.
You do not have to put allot of money into this to make them look great.

Remember that presentation of your dog treats is just as important as the taste.  The people who are buying the treats is not going to be tasting them so all they have to go by is weather their dog wants more and how yummy they LOOK!
