Where to find a Job Working From Home

One of the fastest and easiest jobs to get into at home is being a customer service rep.

The only skills you need is to speak clear english and have a nice phone voice.

You will need high speed internet directly connected, normally no wifi is accepted.  You will need a land line phone that can be dedicated to inbound calls during your selected times for working.  Companies will require either a noise reducing headset with a mute button that can be plugged into your landline phone or one that can be plugged into a USB port.

Some companies require that you pay for a background check normally $15-25.

I looked today and found that TurboTax is hiring along with various other companies.

Your duties will be answering the phone and helping customers with questions they have about the website or product that the company you work for offers.  After handling the call you will need to log the call and the outcome of the call.  Some companies also offer live chat positions also that coincide with the calls.

Skills required are.   Basic typing and grammar skills. The ability to listen and understand the customers concern.  Troubleshoot the problem and talk/type the customer through the steps needed to resolve their concerns.

This is a great opportunity for stay at home moms or anyone really that is looking to supplement their income.  You normally are able to set your own hours from 1-8 hours a day.  You can also work part time for multiple companies as long as the hours do not overlap.

Here are 2 great free websites where companies list these types of jobs as well as others.

elance.com
freelance.com

Keep in mind that these companies are trying to find people that speak clear English.  So you probably are very qualified already!!

How to Really Make Money From Home

I cannot list every website or business startup plan in one blog. Please message me after you read this and let me know what you come up with and my next blog will be about how to make money at home in your desired profession.

I am sure that every mom in America has at some point wondered if they can really make money from home.

When I first quit my job and decided to stay at home to homeschool my daughter I did not even consider making any money from home.  I guess the thought for me was either you choose to work outside the house or you choose to stay home.

As the years passed and I started to look into how to make money online.  I have tried everything from inbound calls, telemarketing to online sales.

There is allot of information out there that will lead you from one site to another and by the end of the day you will be frustrated and your inbox will be full of emails that you will have to go through and unsubscribe to.

Every ones first instinct is to go online and google "work from home" or something close to that.  This will only start your spiral!

If you want to find a job to do from home you must first take it seriously and look for a job just like you would in the public sector.  you wouldn't google "work outside the home" to find a job.

Figure out what kind of work you can realistically do.  If you have little ones you will need a flexible schedule so an inbound call customer service rep is probably something to think about in the future.

Ask yourself what you want to do what do you have experience doing, and how much time can you commit to working.  Do not count out anything that you are good at even couponing and shopping can be marketed and your services and knowledge are valuable.

That is my daughter all grown up with a family of her own. Plus not pictured is a new addition they were able to adopt last week!

Decorating With Yard Sale Finds

This large chest is a Leopold Stickley Cherry Valley Original.  It has a value of $300-600.

I paid $7 at a yard sale.  You don't have to know allot about furniture to get good quality pieces at yard sales.  This one still has the makers sticker on the inside!

When I go out looking for finds I normally just slow down and see if there is any pieces of furniture.  If I only see baby clothes and toys I don't stop.

Allot of people are just trying to get rid of what they do not want and don't realize that the old dresser that their grandma gave them is actually worth something.

The saying that one mans trash is another mans treasure is true today more than ever.

Here in middle America the mid century modern craze has gone unnoticed.  If anyone here had an Eames chair they would probably give it to you if they had not thrown it out already.

This is not to say that we are not sophisticated.  I think we look for value, comfort and traditional pieces over any trends.

One of the Ways I Make Money From Home

This is my latest project.  I love the new turquoise colors!   Adding a pop of turquoise to your decor is the hottest new decorating craze.

This was a $3 yard sale find!

I have opened an Etsy store and am turning these finds into cash.
If you have a passion or talent then Etsy is the place for you!

I have been able to make $100-400 a month just by upcycling furniture.
The revival furniture craze is alive and well and this is one of the fastest and easiest way for stay at home moms to make money from home.

allot of people are looking for how to make money from home with their computers.  Allot of the websites out there are scams.  You do not have to spend money to make money from home.

Think about what you love to do or create. Look at Etsy and share your ideas with me!

I have this chair and I absolutely love the style.  I have looked for this Chippendale style chair for a long time.  Now that I have a set of them I cannot decide what color to paint it or how to use them!

I have looked online for inspiration and absolutely love all of them!

Lets vote on weather to go mid century modern or distressed country.

Great looking in white!

I love the red, I am just not sure I am ready for this bold of a look!

This is sweet.

I love love love this diningroom.

I think this look best matches my style.
This red I may be able to live with.  It's amazing what a few accessories can do.

The pop of blue in this room is great.
